Plant Ecology and Global Change: Science Motivated by Conservation

Ecosystem adaptation paper published

In 2012, the Resources Legacy Fund in Sacramento funded an effort to develop a set of guiding principles for climate adaptation and ecosystem management in California, an effort led by Elizabeth Chornesky with a science advisory team including David Ackerly (download here). This effort has now been translated into a new Bioscience paper that provides four California case studies of conservation and ecosystem management in the face of climate change, including the TBC3 project in the Bay Area. The Bioscience paper is available here, and more information about TBC3 (co-led by Ackerly and Lisa Micheli at Pepperwood Preserve) is here.
